Nonprofit organization FAIR Health has introduced a new shared decision-making tool designed to assist older adults and their caregivers in navigating Alzheimer’s disease care. This initiative is supported by The John A. Hartford Foundation and aligns with the 4Ms framework of age-friendly care, emphasizing what matters most to patients, medication management, mental health, and mobility.

The platform provides free access to clinical and cost-related information, with the hopes of empowering users to make informed decisions about treatment options. The tool includes details on self-care practices, such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle and reviewing medications, as well as drug therapies like cholinesterase inhibitors and monoclonal antibodies. Accompanying resources, such as printable checklists and links to caregiver support organizations, further enhance its utility. FAIR Health further enhances Alzheimer’s disease care by making its tool available in both English and Spanish.
