PureGym, the UK’s largest gym operator, and leading global group fitness provider SHI1FT Fitness have successfully executed what is considered the most ambitious group fitness rollout in the industry. In January 2025, eight new group fitness formats developed by SH1FT were introduced across all PureGym locations. The collaborators offered over 15,000 classes weekly. The rollout included innovative formats like the high-energy cycling class RIDE and the holistic restorative class MIND.

This massively ambitious group fitness initiative by PureGym and SHI1FT Fitness involved training nearly 4,000 instructors in just six weeks. These individuals were taught through SH1FT’s intuitive app and training framework. his partnership addresses common challenges in group fitness, such as instructor shortages and class cancellations, while maintaining high-quality, consistent experiences for members.
